New Hospital Policlinico Mangiagalli e Regina Elena di Milano – Italy

Commissioned by: Fondazione IRCCS Ca' Granda Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico

Objectives

The construction of the New Polyclinic in Milan will offer an open and accessible hospital area not only for patients and their families, but for the whole city. Cure pathways as well as places dedicated to relax and the everyday life will be offered. The new Policlinico will be the largest and most modern hospital in the heart of the city, built with the use of technologies and materials with high environmental comfort. Among its strengths, there will be a pedestrian arcade hosting services and commercial activities, and an elevated park, which will become a “green lung” as large as the Milan Cathedral.
