Construction is expected to begin in 2025.
The road axis will have an extension of 70 km in the first phase, plus a further optional 30 km and will cross the municipalities of Sabará, Santa Luzia, Vespasiano, São José da Lapa, Pedro Leopoldo, Ribeirão das Neves, Contagem and Betim, bringing a improving the flow of goods transport and improving the circulation of cars on existing roads within the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte.
Work is scheduled to begin in 2025 and conclude in 2028, to create a modern and safe two-lane motorway, plus an emergency lane for each direction, with full access control and toll collection through the system “Free Flow”. The project involves a total investment of approximately R$5 billion and is currently the largest public-private partnership (PPP) entered into by the State of Minas Gerais. The Concession contract includes 25 years of Management and Maintenance of the Toll Motorway, with Free-Flow payment system.
