Concession A3 – Naples ‐ Pompeii ‐ Salerno motorway

Learning outcomes

The infrastructure covered by the concession, 51,6 km long, constitutes the first section of the A3 motorway which from Naples extends along the entire southern Tyrrhenian ridge crossing Campania, Basilicata and Calabria, until ending in the capital Reggio di Calabria . To the north, Naples – Pompeii Salerno connects continuously with the A 1 motorway system, which crosses the metropolitan area of ​​Naples, until reaching Caserta and, subsequently, Rome.

Along its route the motorway touches the main cities of the area between Naples and Salerno: Portici, Ercolano, Torre del Greco, Castellammare di Stabia, Pompeii, Scafati, Angri, Nocera Inferiore and Cava de' Tirreni. Once past the town of Salerno, the A3 becomes free and comes under the jurisdiction of Anas.
